The color of this year’s Welschriesling is a lighter green-yellow with silver highlights. Notes of linden blossom and almond with a hint of citrus appear in the aroma. In the taste we observe traces of pink grapefruit, honey with a slight saltiness in the longer finish. The wine is suitable for medium-term archiving.

Special editions and limited quantities, this is our wine from the time of kings. For this custom-made wine, the sugar content of the grapes at harvest was 21 °NM. A minimum of technological interventions, a 4-month bâtonnage, aging in an oak 600 l barrel, a minimum of sulfur before bottling and 2 years of aging in the bottle, this is our Rotgipfler of the Knights Templar of Scotland. The wine has a deep golden color. The aroma has a medium intensity. It shows tones of baked apples, raisins and hints of spices. Fine tannins with light acidity together form a medium-full body. The taste is spicy with a trace of the oak barrel in which the wine matured. The aftertaste is long. The wine is suitable for longer archiving.
